[Following is a volunteer review of "Orinthia" by Most Everyone.]
I just finished reading Orinthia: Super Mental Series by Most Everyone, and let me tell you, it was a rollercoaster of emotions! This book dives deep into mental health issues in a way that's both eye-opening and captivating.
Orinthia, the main character, stole my heart from the get-go. Her struggles with anxiety and feeling like she doesn't belong really hit home for me. And the way she handled everything, especially after her mother's passing, was so brave.
The story itself is gripping. It's about a group of people who, unknowingly, become test subjects for a new pill meant to cure mental disorders. But things aren't as they seem, and Orinthia and her newfound friend, Coy, end up on a mission to stop the pill from causing more harm. The unexpected consequences and side effects of the drug sets the stage for a compelling narrative.
What I loved most about this book is how it doesn't shy away from the tough stuff. It tackles mental illness head-on, showing the raw reality of what it's like to struggle with anxiety and other disorders. But it also gives hope, especially when Orinthia discovers her own strength and resilience. The mention of the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale adds a layer of authenticity, highlighting the meticulous attention to detail in portraying Orinthia's anxiety journey.
The writing is superb. M.E. really knows how to draw you into Orinthia's world, making you feel every emotion right alongside her. And the way they handle diversity and inclusion in the characters is just fantastic.
I couldn't put this book down. From start to finish, I was completely hooked. And even though I noticed a small error, it didn't take away from the overall good experience at all.
So, I'm rating the book a solid five out of five stars. It's a must-read for anyone who wants to gain a deeper understanding of mental health issues and the power of resilience. Also, if you're interested in psychological thrillers with a unique twist, trust me, you won't be disappointed!
