My trip to Adele by A.I.Alyaseer and R.I.Alyaseer is a Romantic fictional novel with a compilation of three different stories of love that ends at Adele’s concert in Verona. There is a married couple struggling with luck of affection in their family life, there is a divorced woman doing her best to provide her son with the best in life and there is a man looking for his lost love. They were all drawn to her concert in Italy. This is the R.I and A.I Alyaseer’s first self-published book.
This book is a romantic set novel which made me not leave my seat for a single minute. I truly was falling for the novel. Therefore, I rate the book 3 out of 4 stars. It was a mind-boggling type of novel that made not to sleep, because I had to know what happened next. I would read it every time I had a chance to keep my mind occupied away from the hustle of life. It was relating to some of the situations in life and seemed to speak to me.
I came across a few editing and grammar errors, but very few and could have occurred as it was the first translation for the authors. As I started reading it I had some difficulty trying to understand what was going on. I still kept on reading until I finally figured out where the book was going. Although I thought there were too many metaphors used in narration that made me to sometime feel carried away from the main story line. As I kept on reading till the fourth chapter I got myself hooked to my chair without even noticing. With the few cons, I came across I still rated it highest because the pros overwhelmed the cons.I came to learn a lot from reading this book. The fictional view being made in the book with the different locations were very visual and I could feel like I was there. Being a big fun of Adele, I had never thought of her songs speaking so well to our everyday love journeys. I learned about the different religions and cultures of the characters, which made it even more mind-blowing just knowing how Adele’s song influenced everyone around the world.
This is a story of three likeable characters that opens up with the story of Elias. Elias lives in Rome but is subjected to travel to Morocco to break a spell that he believes was cast upon him which lead to him breaking up with his lover Malika whom they had met some years back. Then there is Nadia, a single mother living in Jordan and divorced from her abusive husband. She is struggling with the cultural traditions just to give her son the opportunity to go and see her idol Adele in Italy. She is faced with obstacles from all sides. Last and not least is Yaser, a doctor in Las Vegas who feels he is drowning in his marriage with Miriam her wife. Yaser is trying to revive his marriage by planning a trip to Adele’s concert just to hold the marriage together, by trying to reignite the spark in their marriage.
The flow in this novel is too good to just compare to any published novel I have read. This is a novel I can relate with every day relationship and life. Having that cultural touch in it makes it even more attracting for someone to pick it up and read. I look forward on reading more of their publications.
