“Roadmap to the end of days” written by Daniel Friedmann is a novel that draws on the authors third experience in narrating the historical revolution of events that will make us understand the past, present and future times to the end of days. This book gives an incredible in dept view of where we have come from, where we are and where we are going before the end of days in the universe. The author also gives us a vision of what might happen in the seventh millennium after the end of days in the world which he predicts to take 6000 years.
In the first instance before I embarked on reading this book, I possibly thought it to be dry and unpleasant due to the fact that when I flipped through, I saw words like Talmud and Zohar,Torah and others that were almost discouraging me to read the book. However, the book turned out to be a good thriller once i settled to read it. The novel makes the reader understand purpose of time from the beginning of creation by God and up to the end of the days when we expect the Messiah to come and take the entire world to the seventh millennium as envisioned by the author. “Roadmap to the end of days” digs deeply in the rich history of the creation of mankind and his generations. The author also thoroughly discusses the cosmic purpose which is the desire of our Holy God to have an abode in the lower worlds. God`s Divine Plan in which He concealed himself in Heaven so that we could exist and exercise free will. It is our duty to reveal God`s essence transforming the worlds obscurity into an environment in which God`s presence is felt. The Cosmic purpose is achieved by humankind at large observing the Seven Noahide laws and by the Jews observing the 613 commandments of Torah which are generally perceived as God`s Commandments. The Torah is the blueprint for the universe and humankind’s existence from a faith-based perspective, and it is drawn from a tradition of oral and written principles from which God Created the world.
While the novel discusses a very import subject, the author brings humor into his writing which leaves the reader with not only greater knowledge and imagination on the subject, but also a sense of enjoyment in reading and understanding the book. “Roadmap to the end of days” is well written and thoroughly cites all its references making me believe that it could possibly be interesting to many readers who want to visualize the essence God`s Divine plan and the three stages of biblical chronology of creation time, Human history and 7th millennium. Each chapter discusses in detail its thematic area with a lot of humor and enthusiasm bringing out the understanding of the concept. Tables and diagrams are sometimes provided to explain the concepts further.
I had chosen to read this book because of its intriguing title to find out the deep inside of the Roadmap we may travel and experience to the end of days. It`s relation to biblical ideologies made me read and understand and enjoy the book. The book gave me an inside picture of how the struggling and conflicting events cited in the Bible between the Jews and Amalekites affects humankind in the world today. I believe the readers and particularly those who will read this book “Roadmap to the end of days” will enjoy it and learn something in the process as well.
While I enjoyed reading this book, I give Roadmap to the end of days 3 out of 4 stars.This is because,the book has many end-notes instead of brief description of the terms or concepts as I read through. Preferably this could reduce the number of times to make for references for descriptions or clarification of terms in the appendices. I would also have preferred the acknowledgement contents of the author to be on the page preceding the table of contents page to avoid mix up. However, “Roadmap to the end of days” is an impressive and informative book and I recommend it for fiction and non-Fiction readers who will discover and enjoy this inspiring great researched work of Daniel Friedmann.
