The book A Kingdom Forgotten by Charles W. McDonald Jr. is story of a man named Damon and his Damnation spell. He is an outlaw mage that has an obsession to gain enough power to test the boundaries of Creation itself, affecting the seeds of Humanity throughout the known Universe. The accumulation of all this power begins and ends with three crucial relationships. This is the story of his execution of his Master Plan to stop the fate he made for himself with the making of A Throne of Soul.

I liked the overall story of this book. I have never read a book with so many details. It's as if Charles W. McDonald Jr. Created a whole new world. I also really liked all of the characters of the story, they weren't the typical heroes and villains. They were a lot more complex, like humans in the real world. This definitely helped me connect with the story even more and helped me enjoy it a lot more.

One thing that I liked and didn’t like about this book was how the story would jump from one time to another time. I did like the concept of this, but it was a bit confusing when I was reading it. The author decided to use time references that would say "a thousand years ago", "a long time ago", etc... This confused me a lot and in the end, I kind of stopped paying attention to them. Maybe if the author had chosen to do this with a timeline with actual numbers it would have made a lot more sense to me.

I didn’t like how the book would go back and forth between the characters in different times a lot. It would go from one characters life to another's very quickly, it almost felt as if they were short stories. At the beginning of the book it almost felt as if the stories were not related to each other at all. This made me not want to read the book at all because I felt annoyed by the story line. After a few chapters I did connect to the characters, which made me want to keep reading the book, but if I had not connected to the characters I would probably have had to force myself to finish the book.

I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars. I really despised the format of the book at first, but the story definitely made up for that. I really liked the overall story of the book. My suggestion for the author would be to make the book in an easier format for the public to read. I think the public would definitely enjoy the book a lot more if the author did this.
