My Trip to Adeleis a fiction novel written by siblings, R.I. Alyasser and A.I. Alyasser. They share a love for Adele and her music and after attending her concert in Venice they were inspired to write this self published novel. This book is broken up into three different stories. In each story the main character is struggling with some dilemma in their life and the music of Adele and her upcoming concert has a great significance in each of their lives.

The book begins with the story of Elias, a man who is searching for the woman he fell in love with many years ago in Marrakesh. Elias travels to Marrakesh in hopes of finding Malika. As her searches for Malika he struggles to find the answers he needs not only of her whereabouts but also the answers to the feelings he has for her and what to do about them. He finally finds someone that has information about Malika and they give him one of her possessions, the box he had given to her all those years ago. When he opens the box there is a letter from Malika to him reminding him of his promise to her that they would one day meet again at an Adele concert.

In the second story, Yaser is struggling with his marriage to Mariam. He too was looking for answers, the answers to mending his broken relationship. But as he tries to mend fences with Mariam he discovers many shortcomings in his life and marriage. He can now plainly see that the faith that once attracted him to Mariam has slowly become what was ripping them apart, because he no longer believed in their marriage or Mariam's faith. Still, in one last attempt to rekindle what they once shared he bought an anniversary gift for Mariam, tickets to the upcoming Adele concert.

The third and last story is about a single mother named Nadia. She desperately wants her freedom after divorcing an abusive husband. She manages to save enough of her salary to be able to travel to an Adela concert with her son, who adores Adele's music. In Jordan where she lives you must obtain permission to travel from the father of the child. She was surprised and relieved when her ex-husband agreed. But as her and her son go to board their flight she learns that his father, at the last minute denied her the right to travel with their son.

The chapters in this book are all named after on of Adele's songs. The song is then connected to the characters and what is going on in their lives at that point in the book. The authors have done a remarkable job with connecting the story to the music. I loved that they included lyrics at the end of each chapter, for me this helped tie the story together and also gave me better understanding of what the characters might be feeling as they went through their own struggles.

I gave this book 4 out of 4 stars, it was beautifully written. There were no errors in grammar that I found. The authors made it impossible to not fall in love with the characters. I was a little skeptical of the title and the cover of the book but once I began reading it I found it difficult to put it down. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a great fiction novel.
