“Karmic Selling” by Stan Gwizdak is a book that enlightens readers on issues pertaining to business and making sales. The author discusses his switch from a conventional corporate profession to an ideology grounded in uniqueness and genuine concern for others. During his time as a career person, he experienced the dangers of chasing after personal interests without giving back.

After having a brush with mortality in 2004, Stan Gwizdak decided to approach business and selling from his own perspective. He advanced to setting up his own business firm. Going through his experience during these years, Stan talks about the successes and challenges that helped mould his business. These experiences emphasise a foundational belief: that practicing kindness and goodness creates profound success in business. Karmic selling, according to Stan, is all about creating a connection with people because it’s a major determinant of success. He believes that the word “karma” adequately explains the famous saying that “what goes around comes around.”

Going through the book, I gained some insights that can help one succeed both in the corporate environment and in private ventures. Someone who meticulously reads through this book will benefit from its contents. I learned of the need to compliment people, which gives a feel-good feeling. Furthermore, we should fix our focus on helping people, not just selling to them. The quotes displayed at the end of each chapter increase the book’s resourcefulness. I like how Stan’s tales included case studies and reflective exercises to lend credence to the book, making it highly practicable. In addition, the author’s writing style and language make it an engaging resource for readers.

There were no negatives to pinpoint about this book. It bears a strong message of kindness and authentic connection. I discovered no errors in the book, which portrays exceptional editing. As a result, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. Stan Gwizdak is a hidden gem that I would love to read more from.

Readers interested in improving their mindset towards business and creating connections with business-minded people will find this book highly beneficial, as they can easily relate to Stan’s experience and incorporate some of his ideas into their own.
