Strong Heart is other fictional book written by charlie Sheldon and narrated by Leurel Anne White. The story takes place in Olympic Peninsula Washington State. The interesting, entertaining and informative story sets in by the introduction of Tom, William and Myra, William's daughter. They are preparing to set in for wilderness to visit Tom's father grave. Tom has a higher motive; an old artifact that is mysteriously linked to his past that he feels must return. Not long before Ruth and Sarah appear. How does it feel like when you found within a twinkling of an eye you are accorded a title of a grandfather when you least expected? Ruth and Tom are grandparents to Sarah, a very difficult and strong willed girl. This is the first time Tom not only meets Sarah but also realises that she has such a granddaughter. William and Myra suggest that they go ahead with the trek and bring Sarah along. On the way, Sarah vanishes and then reappears after 8 days with a strange apparent connection to the land and stories beyond what any of them is familiar with.

The story is one of the best stories I have ever read. I was actually tempted to think I was watching a movie. Events are adequately described and consistently articulated. The author seem to have tremendously researched on the title. He brings about readily and evidently the link between the title and the plot. Its topic is adequately supported.

I admire the language used. No need of repeatedly turning dictionary pages to refer to the meanings of vocabularies. Equally, the role of every character is decently brought out. For instance, Sarah. She is unworriedly bringing out her attitude. No need to pretend. She's real and genuine with little or no concern in what others think of her.

I like the author's sense of plot management and style. The suspense is unveiled apparently. For instance, Tom in a spur of a moment finds himself being introduced to Sarah by Ruth, his ex-wife as the grandfather to the girl. He is not even aware he has a granddaughter in the first place. In this state you probingly hunt for several answers; (a) what made Tom and Ruth separate? (b) where was Sarah for the last 13 year? (c) what has she been doing all this while? and, (d) how did Ruth, the grandmother come to know about the existence of Sarah?

The provision of maps in the front pages is an added advantage. However, the audio book was insufficiently done. Tonal variations are inefficient in this case. The narrator would have given a better strength and variations to different characters and states. This is the only thing that compels me to give it a 3 out of 4 stars instead of 4 stars.
