Temptation Trials Part 1, by B. Truly, is a lovely novel that is meant for the future. It takes place after World War 3 in which Communism becomes the method of government. Through out this book you get to know that it is not a communist government but more of a dictatorship in which the leader controls all aspect of the lives of the people. The people of this day and age have no say , they don't even have the choice or right to marry the ones they love unless they are able to pass through the temptation trials with the person they love.
The book starts with two fun loving young women, Cali and Stefani, who like any normal person were out having fun, fun that according to the government is illegal and punishable by jail term. While at this party Cali and Stefani meet two young men, Kincade (Cade) and Tobias who without the women knowledge were involved with a secret organization known as The Opposition. Through out the novel these young men and woman began romantic relationships with each other which became much more than any of them wanted or expected. These two couples begin to realize that their relationships will only be able to continue if they volunteer and beat the Temptation Games, games in which no couple has ever won. Through out the games both the men and woman form relationships with other characters involved in the games but soon realize something sinister is going on behind their backs. In order to win these games they must find the truth about the games and bring it to light for all the world to see.
To be perfectly honest this book has an amazing plot full of romance and mystery but it just doesn't seem to go down well easily with me unlike novel I've read. The characters don't seem to be completely formed in a way that gives you an idea of who they are as a person. The writer is very descriptive of the scenes and their surroundings and I believe if they applied that type of descriptiveness to the characters it would make for a better story all together. There were very few grammatical errors but there were some misuse of words within the novel but nothing that dramatically effected the story. This writer obviously knows what they want from this novel but I don't think they are quite there yet but I feel with a little more work this story would fall together wonderfully attracting more readers.
All in all this story has the potential to become a great work of fiction that could grab an audience and keep them wanting more from beginning to the end. The idea of this story is unique and very original which is a breath of fresh air considering how many novels are similar to each other now a days. I hope to see this writer continue making this story better and more easily understood among its readers.
In conclusion I greatly enjoyed this novel and the twists and turns it takes through out its development. I have always been a sap for romance and perseverance of a relationship, to fight for those you love. I would recommend this book to others once the writer puts more into the development of the story. I give this book a rating of 3 out of 4.
