Break Up With Him Now! Before It’s Too Late
Author: Lena Lubinka.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book; it deserves five out of five stars. The man that she chose to call her partner and live with was misogynistic, cruel to dogs, lazy and a buffoon. If she had stayed with him, her life would have been unhappy, unfulfilled and empty. I want every young woman (and young man) everywhere to read this book before they become romantically attached. She begins the book with worries about her impending decision to leave, and the reader is urging her on. Of course, in life, there are comforts and reassurances in being stuck in a rut, no matter how detrimental that 'rut' is, and she was scared of the possible loneliness. We read that he humiliated her in public and started to control who she could talk to. The chapter describing his cruelty to their dog was difficult to read. Collectively, all these aspects are a huge 'red flag'.

The book is very personable. She feels despair and needs advice, and, as such, treats the reader as a confidante. Although she is the only one who can make the ultimate decision, I silently shouted, "Leave! Leave!".

There are some interesting facts, such as when the psychiatrist tells her that sometimes humans choose what they know, i.e., her father was sometimes cruel to her as a child, and so, later in life, she decided to become involved with the same male type, a fear of the unknown.

It is a very 'readable' book, and I found no errors. The chapters are nice and short, which prevented any tedium that might have crept in. As I could find nothing to dislike, I will stand by my decision to rate it five out of five stars. It is a good book for all ages.
