Followed My Star by AR Annahita is a book which aims at the life of the common citizen in a country and how history repeats itself. The author's goal is to share the experience as an immigrant from Iran to America and what controls life in today’s living. This book is thought-provoking to see how the world is corrupt and surrounded by mean people. In this book, a lot has been said about America and its citizens and how they treat each other. More so when someone is an immigrant as in the case of the author.

It is from Followed my Star where the reader gets to know about how a country can be affected by a single person's mistake and thereafter innocent people pay for those mistakes. In addition, the reader can also be able to see how fairness and freedom can make people work out the good in their countries. Besides, it portrays how one can pack his or her dreams if there is no spiritual connection with God. The reader learns that God doesn't force people to believe in Him but lets them live their own lives, people only misuse the religion which was meant to help them. In such a case, the author gives his own testimonies to show how he needed nothing other than himself and God to achieve his dreams.

I have learned that for one to achieve anything in this life, everything should be run in balance. Besides, thinking extreme in one direction is not good and if people would only find the balance, most of the bad things would be wiped out. The middle way should be chosen in every decision. Moreover, I learn that if only we supported each other and lend a helping hand, we would be at peace and be able to work together.

Without a doubt, the author has portrayed that although the book has a flow which makes it very interesting, the author has many grammatical errors. Such as, "let us thing about it" instead of "let us think about it" (pg.7) and "quite" instead of quiet (pg.2 and pg. 30).

Anyone who is interested in the law of attraction would certainly like the book if only he or she will overlook the grammatical faults. In general, I rate the book 3 out of 4 stars. I would recommend the book to those who are searching for a meaning in their life, be it career wise or as a family person.
