"Soul Seeker" by Kaylin McFarren is a supernatural fantasy novel. It begins with the story of Benjamin Poe, a firefighter imprisoned and sentenced to death for the murder of his son. Poe recounts to lawyer Pierce Beaudoin the events leading to his incarceration, involving family tensions, a mysterious figure named Crighton, and supernatural occurrences. Poe's tragic tale ends with his suicide and descent to hell. The second part shifts focus to Crighton, a demon tasked by Lucifer to capture an angel's soul. Crighton bonds with Ariel, an angel, and they become soulmates. Together with Crighton's mother, Acadia, and the fallen angel Castiel, they embark on a quest against Lucifer. The narrative explores themes of redemption, sacrifice, and the battle between good and evil, culminating in Lucifer's death and Ariel's transformation. What happened to Crighton's mother, Acadia? Get the book to find out.

The book is a gripping tale that skillfully blends elements of supernatural fantasy and psychological drama. The novel's two-part structure provides a deep dive into the troubled life of Benjamin Poe and the complex celestial missions of the demon Crighton. With well-developed characters, unexpected plot twists, and a rich exploration of themes like redemption, sacrifice, and the eternal struggle between good and evil, the story keeps me engaged from start to finish. The author's imaginative world-building and compelling narrative make the book a thought-provoking and thrilling read for fans of dark fantasy and supernatural fiction.

My favorite part of this book is the transformative bond between Crighton and Ariel. This unexpected union between a demon and an angel brings a fresh and compelling twist to the story, symbolizing hope and redemption amidst the chaos of their worlds. Their relationship evolves from mutual distrust to deep love, highlighting the power of connection to transcend inherent differences. This bond challenges the rigid boundaries of heaven and hell, and their quest against Lucifer showcases their courage and resilience.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for its captivating blend of supernatural elements and emotional depth. There is nothing I dislike about the book. The book is exceptionally edited.

I recommend this book for fans of dark fantasy and supernatural fiction who enjoy complex characters and intricate plots.

Although this book sounds like an intriguing narrative, I think I would pass on this one because I'm not a fan of books centered supernatural and celestial beings.
