[Following is a volunteer review of "Wisdom" by Arun mago.]
"Wisdom" by Arun Mago is an inspirational book that aims to motivate readers to pursue their dreams, embrace personal growth, and live fulfilling lives. The book is designed to encourage individuals to take control of their destinies and overcome societal and personal barriers. Mago emphasizes that dreams should be daily, repetitive, emotional, and anticipated moments that keep one motivated. He argues that waiting for the perfect time or seeking approval from others can hinder progress. Instead, one should start working on their dreams immediately. Mago underscores the importance of hard work and persistence. He believes that success requires continuous effort and adapting different approaches to achieve desired outcomes. He draws a distinction between dreams and wishful thinking, stressing that dreams must be accompanied by clear goals and actionable plans. Without action, dreams remain mere fantasies.
The author also addresses the role of anger and dissatisfaction as catalysts for change. Rather than blaming the system or others, Mago encourages readers to channel their anger into productive efforts that lead to personal and societal transformation. He introduces the idea that true change starts from within and that individuals must become examples for others to follow. Mago challenges readers to look beyond superficial identities tied to names, religions, or societal roles. He suggests that individuals are spiritual beings having human experiences and that recognizing this can lead to a deeper sense of purpose and connection to the divine. This perspective helps readers feel less alone and more powerful, reinforcing the idea that they are part of a greater universal structure. Mago provides mnemonics and philosophical acronyms throughout the book to make his teachings memorable. For instance, he defines life as "Laugh every day, imagine your dreams and follow them, find a passion and pursue it, and enjoy a lot." These simple yet profound principles serve as daily reminders for readers to focus on what truly matters and to live life fully.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because it taught me to live a fulfilling life, such as by managing time effectively, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining a balance between personal and professional responsibilities. Through the book, Mago encouraged me to stay committed to my goals despite challenges and setbacks. He believes that continuous learning and adaptation are key to personal growth and success. "Wisdom" by Arun Mago is a guidebook for anyone seeking to achieve their dreams and lead a meaningful life.
The book's editing is flawless, which makes it feel attractive while reading. But, when I was reading the book, sometimes I felt repetitive, as key concepts were reiterated without substantial new insights., but this is not a major drawback for me of the book for which I would have deducted any stars from the rating.
