[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
E M P Honeymoon by Dorothy May Mercer centres around the story of a newlywed couple, Kelly and Tom, who were both on a romantic honeymoon trip on a Caribbean island. Their joy was caught short when Kelly found a hidden terrorist lab, where she saw the plans for an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack targeting the United States and Canada. Kelly, after getting to know this, has now decided to figure out ways to ensure that this attack does not come to fruition. She then reaches out to her brother, Senator Michael MacBride, for help. Upon becoming aware of this threat, Michael organises special operation teams entrusted with the duty of investigating these terrorist attacks and making sure that they do not come to fruition.
I, with a background in science, was totally impressed with how the author provided detailed explanations of electromagnetic pulse (EMP) technology and its harmful effects. Readers who have a scientific background would appreciate the depth and accuracy of these descriptions, as they made the threat seem very realistic. The author also sheds light on the inappropriate use of advanced technology and how it can endanger society. This would resonate with readers who have plans for scientific advancements and want to understand their ethical implications. Furthermore, the character Kim Jung Lo, who played an important role in stopping the terrorist attacks, serves as an inspiring figure for readers and also makes readers understand that advanced technology, when used for ethical purposes, can be a force for good in society.
As for dislikes, I found nothing to dislike about this book, as the book was edited exceptionally well, and I wasn't able to find any grammatical errors of any sort. I would like to thank the author for this, as this shows how dedicated the author is to making sure that readers have a wonderful reading experience. I give this book a perfect rating of five out of five stars for the book's educational value and the knowledgeable insights it provides to readers. I recommend this book to readers who are interested in science fiction, particularly stories involving advanced technologies.
