[Following is a volunteer review of "Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book" by Kalliope Barlis.]
Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis outlines essential abilities and methods that are critical for optimizing life achievements in addition to improving golf. The main focus is on the mind, encouraging the effective shaping of thoughts through the application of neuro-linguistic programming. The author highlights how important the mind is to improving golf performance and reaching goals in life. The book goes into detail about the necessary mental and physical abilities to become a proficient golfer. There are also doable recommendations for improving the entire golfing experience.
The book taught me many things that, in my opinion, go beyond golf and can be applied to many aspects of life. It also demonstrated how the brain can conflate memory and imagination, emphasizing the role that imagination plays in realizing our goals. The book's concise and uncomplicated style, together with Barlis' careful examination of various golfer types and situations, added to its value and made the entire reading experience pleasurable.
I did not realize the book had any illustrations until I encountered them in the appendix. However, I didn't appreciate how these pictures were placed; I had to go back and forth from the illustrations to the pages where Barlis explained each illustration. Nevertheless, it did not take away from my enjoyment of the book as a whole, and other than this, nothing in it bothered me.
Notwithstanding the aforementioned flaw, I give Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book 5 out of 5 stars. It was professionally edited, even though I found very few spelling and grammar errors, which did not hinder my reading experience.
Both seasoned golfers and those just getting started in the sport will find this book to be helpful. The lessons and strategies it offers also apply to other sports, as well as everyday life.
