Kira left her successful modeling career to come home to New Orleans and her sick mother. Unfortunately, her mother passed away in a few short months. Kira hated her mother's urn that held her ashes so much, she thought it would be a tribute to her to paint a picture with her ashes. So, that is what she did. Then she started doing this for other people. Soon she realizes she can feel what the people whose ashes she is using felt. This starts causing problems for her. She is having terrible nightmares and she is being physically hurt. She gets a new commission.
Sean, who is an empath, brings his father's ashes to Kira. They are immediately attracted to each other. But, when Kira starts painting with his father's ashes she has a feeling that something is very wrong. After a few days she feels that there is evil in his ashes. Was Sean's father that evil, or is there something else going on?
Our author, Jody Summers was born in New Orleans and grew up there and also Memphis and Houston. He was a competitive gymnast, and he attended the University of Kansas. He became a successful restaurateur, a stuntman, a pilot, a skydiver, a scuba diver, and martial artist. Now he can add a great writer to his list of accomplishments.
I love this book because you have a love story, suspense, thriller, even horror going on. And the author’s attention to detail is so colorful and descriptive in his worldbuilding and in his characters. Mr. Summers is a very talented writer.
There really isn't anything I didn't like about this book. It seems the book has been professionally edited.
I believe this to be a very enjoyable book. I would advise you to read it.
I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars .
