[Following is a volunteer review of "Quest: Finding Freddie" by Thomas Richard Spradlin.]
Thomas Richard Spradlin's nonfiction book Quest: Finding Freddie describes his struggles in Nigeria while searching for Mr. Frederick David Nachman, a missing customer. After taking a little stroll from his hotel, Freddie Nachman, the CEO and owner of Nachman International Trading Corporation, vanished out of nowhere. Since then, there has been no sign of him. The hotel staff claims that nothing has been disturbed and that he hasn't slept in his bed. In his unshakable bravery and determination, Richard takes risks with his life in order to find Freddie.
Spradlin's writing style is captivating, and the historical context he offers gives the narrative depth and genuineness. The story moves along at a satisfactory clip, with every detail well chosen to further the plot. The novel is easy to imagine thanks to the author's use of descriptive language, which creates a realistic picture of the locations and characters. The book's ability to strike a balance between action, suspense, and historical context is among its most notable features. Along with describing the events as they happen in the order of events, the author also builds tension and makes the reader want to keep reading. The book contains a number of lessons that, despite being fiction, I learned as I went through the chapters.
With its gripping characters and thrilling turns, I'm sure that readers of all ages who enjoy mystery and adventure books will find something to connect with in this story. Because of these factors, I sincerely recommend this book and give it a five-star rating. For everyone who likes mysteries and adventures, it is a must-read. Nothing about it was objectionable. The novel goes on to teach us about the civil war and how Nigeria as a people were able to go about giving us details concerning the leadership of Nigeria. I rate it 5 out of 5.
