McDowell is an intriguing book written by William H. Coles as he tells the story of Hiram McDowell, who is a surgeon, his private life, family life, and experiences in his profession as a surgeon. The book explores themes like trust, friendship, and betrayal.

McDowell is also known to be a skilled mountain climber who got married to three women at different stages in his life. Although he lost his second wife, Sophie, that was what made him get married to Carole, who’s his third wife. Candace and Tracy were the children of Caroline before she got married to McDowell. However, McDowell also has a son named Billie. One of Hiram McDowell's dreams was to be president of the International College of Surgeons, and he achieved this after making promises to Michael O’Leary, a colleague whom he believes could help him achieve that. What were these promises? Did McDowell fulfill them? Get a copy of the book to find out.

There were many things I liked and appreciated about the author because the book has a lot of positive aspects, such as real-life lessons to learn from, and this impacts readers positively. I love the author's writing style and his ability to engage readers and capture their attention from the beginning to the end of the book, which shows the author's creativity and interesting storyline. I also couldn't predict what would happen in the next section of the book, so the suspense that was built throughout was worth it. I also learned from the mistake Hiram McDowell made and the things he failed to do as the children lacked the presence of their father. He was carried away by his ambition and didn’t give much attention to his family. I didn’t dislike anything in the book because it was satisfactory to me.

I’m rating the book five out of five stars because of its positive aspects, which I really love. The book has some errors in it. This shows that it was professionally edited. I’m suggesting the book to fans of fiction so they can also enjoy this interesting book.
