The book Impact by Mark D. Owen is a fictional masterpiece that tells the story of a futuristic world marked by advanced space exploration. The story revolves around a man, Tamarind Chase, who is the leader of an enterprise called Dark Matter Ventures. Chase launches a secret project called Project LightStar, with the aim of the project being to rid space of its numerous debris and also for asteroid mining. As the story progresses, a journalist named Jake, who is skeptical about Chase and his secret project, begins to investigate the project and, with time, begins to uncover irregularities, which makes him suspect further that there is more to the project than meets the eye. Meanwhile, Chase faces his personal challenges as he has to maintain both the public image of the project and its secret operations while at the same time dealing with the emotional turmoil that comes with it. The story highlights his personal struggles and sacrifices towards the success of the project.

There are a lot of things to like about the book, most notably the character development by the author, especially that of the main character, Tamarind Chase. The depiction of his determination, personal crises, and struggles makes him very human and relatable. The author's portrayal of a futuristic world marked by futuristic technology and space exploration is also something to commend. I feel the book really awakens the imagination of the reader, and I believe this makes it even more enjoyable to read.

For me, there was nothing to dislike about the book. The author did a good job with the character development, the plot was excellent, and the book is filled with lots of suspense and tension, which will keep readers engrossed in it. The book was also exceptionally well edited, as I did not come across any grammatical or spelling errors while reading it. Hence, I'll be rating it 5 out of 5 stars.

I'll recommend this book to people who like reading fictional stories, especially those about advanced futuristic space exploration. People who like mystery stories will also enjoy reading this book.
