[Following is a volunteer review of "The Solution is Political Revolution" by Jillion R Rising.]
"The Solution is Political Revolution" by Jillion R Rising offers a description of problems that the United States faces and offers recommendations concerning these problems. As an entrepreneur who runs a construction industry, the author analyzes the causes of the emerging political polarization, economic injustice, and bureaucratic failure. The author's book targets working people in America and calls for political revolution, although it also shares insights from personal experience and interacted observation of everyday interactions and communicational approaches.
In the book, the author analyzes important questions that concern Americans, for example, the 2008 mortgage crisis, the Federal Reserve, and the change from the Gold Standard to fiat money. He defines the reasons for these troubles and notes policies that have resulted in many people in America having no future. Nevertheless, he provides numerous solutions concerning how to avoid this tragic future, stressing that people should come together to reclaim their countries from mainstream media-fed division and hatred. The author invites society to trigger a political revolution to avoid this grim future and suggests using referendums as the major source of legislation’s emergence, stricter rules for lobbying, and higher rates of payment for members of the government to prevent them from receiving bribes. He comes up with the idea of a new political party, which will be called the Logician Party, whose main goal is to initiate real democracy, excluding confrontation between people. These issues are underlined throughout the book, with a focus on unity and cooperation to transform society in order to provoke a political revolution to bring the country’s wealth back and revive democracy.
The book provides hope and suggestions on how to change the system, along with analysis; its overall tone is positive. It points out that governments may use the equality of people as a smokescreen to camouflage their failings. Several theories support it, and it is replete with detailed tables and charts. The reasonability of the collective action is the element of the call-to-action that was liberating to readers, promoting new ways of thinking by appealing to readers to wake up and seize the power of the majority in governance. It suggests that people should be involved in the process of constructing the reality that they live in. The book is exceptionally well edited, I like the clear structure, intensive utilization of sources, the use of ordinary meaning, and the freedom of the author to express an obvious truth. I found no dislikes about this book.
I proudly rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars for the clarity of its arguments and the fire in its fight for justice, as well as for painting a positive future of justice. In particular, I highly recommend it to everyone who pays attention to politics, equality in the distribution of resources, or social justice. It is an excellent point of departure for debates about the nation’s future and a stimulus for critical thinking. It is also considered quite useful for readers interested in social studies and mechanisms of social change.
