[Following is a volunteer review of "Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book" by Kalliope Barlis.]
Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag written by Kalliope Barlis, is a guidebook that seeks to teach golfers, both men and women, amateur and professional alike, about how to improve their golfing skills and address the myth that buying better equipment makes you a better golfer. In her words, “size doesn’t matter; it’s how you use the equipment that matters,” and “the most important golf equipment is your mind.
And it’s free." This book was designed with it being carried in an equipment bag every day in mind, such that as you practice golfing, you can read the book as a guide. I would recommend this book to golfers looking to improve their golf game and to readers interested in golf.
One of the best things about this book is the credibility of the author’s skill, which was endorsed by her teacher, Chuck Hogan, at the start of the book. It gave valuable insight into the author’s journey from a beginner herself to a skilled golfer and how she skillfully learned as much as she could. It takes a good student to make a proud teacher, and the author gave her teacher high shoulders, which boosts the confidence of the readers of this book, assuring them that if they as well are willing to follow the meticulous guides and instructions in this book, they themselves could become great golfers.
To be honest, the only thing about this book that may be disliked by so many is the fact that it is not longer than it is. The book is straight to the point, encouraging and outright motivating. It does not bore you or confuse you with complex grammar or aimless stories; the author even went as far as not using standard golf terminology because it may be confusing for new golfers and amateurs. Each paragraph and point in this book speaks greatly of the author’s efforts put into this book and her experience as a great golfer who started out as an amateur.
I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for it being so exceptional. They created a motivating masterpiece that will guide readers to success. I loved the fact that real-life experience was included in this book coupled with straightforward explanations that will appeal to most readers. Every reader just needs to follow the steps presented in this book, and success is sure. It was indeed a great read. The book was exceptionally well edited and error-free.
