"Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book" by Kalliope Barlis is a perfect book for those who want to enhance their golfing skills quickly. The book is unique because it covers the psychological and physical aspects of the game and is, therefore, useful for golfers of all abilities. Barlis, a golfer who has been playing for only two years and has become a professional golfer, provides her tips and tricks in a simple manner.

One thing that makes this book stand out is the focus on the psychological side of golf. Barlis applies the technique of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) to assist golfers in changing their attitudes and eradicating phobias. She incorporates activities that help in developing concentration, self-esteem, and perseverance. This is quite encouraging because most golf books are centered on physical skills. Barlis’s techniques assist players in preparing their minds for the game and performing to the best of their capabilities.

The book is divided into three major parts. The first section is on mental preparation, the second is on practice drills, and the third is on match play. The information is divided into sections, each divided into short, easy-to-read chapters, making it easier to follow the advice given. I liked the sections on practice most of all. Barlis provides useful advice on how to get the most out of your practice time, for instance, by practicing various lies and balances. The drills and exercises are simple and can be practiced to yield great results in a short period of time.

I also liked that the book is full of tips and inspiration. Barlis wants the readers to have faith in themselves and remain optimistic even when they fail. She is a good writer, and she makes the book interesting and encouraging. Diagrams and other illustrations also assist in explaining the instructions and make the learning process more fun.

However, the book has some limitations. Some instructions are complex, especially for a beginner golfer or even a novice golfer. I had to read some parts of the book more than once to understand them, which made it more tiring. Nevertheless, the content of the articles is informative, and the articles themselves are well-structured. The book is professionally edited, and I did not come across any mistakes while reading the book, which was a plus.

I rate "Play Golf Better Faster. I would give “The Little Golf Bag Book” 5 out of 5 stars. It is a perfect tool for any golfer who wants to enhance their performance as soon as possible. The blend of mental and physical strategies with motivational tips from Barlis makes this book a perfect read for any serious golfer. Whether a novice or a professional, you can learn something new, improve your game, and have fun.
