Review of Infinity

[Following is a volunteer review of "Infinity" by Catalina DuBois.]
Sara and Matthaios, living under a curse that prevents them from being happily together, now find themselves in Rome, where Matthaios is a prince and Sara is a slave girl. The pain of being from different social strata continues to hurt them, and they try to persevere regardless. Communication between individuals of different strata affects not only Sara and Matthaios, as the kingdom has many slaves who are brutally handled, often for entertainment. The book showcases love stories, sorrow, pain, secrets, and action. Read "Infinity" by Catalina DuBois to understand more about how the story unfolds.
The love scenes were palpable, mostly showing understanding and individuals trying to be strong for each other. The show of emotions was adequate, capturing the feelings of each character, whether Matthaios, Sara, or someone else. I was inclined to read further to know how everything was going to end. This is indeed a good attribute, as it will keep readers interested.
I feel the author was able to weave different stories into one without causing boredom. I read and was able to understand each explanation and backstory, and the conversations revealed as much as they should have. I felt pity for many of the characters at many points, mostly the slaves. The show of strength, regardless of circumstances, was engaging. The lives of the different characters and their interests were well-maintained, creating a very intense atmosphere at some points, which I liked.
I sincerely found nothing to dislike about the book. It was well-crafted, in my opinion. I found just one error, and it wasn't enough to cause a dislike. The well-crafted nature of the book leads me to rate it 5 out of 5.
"Infinity" is well-suited for readers who enjoy historical romance with a touch of fantasy. It is ideal for those who appreciate deep emotional connections, intricate social dynamics, and intense, dramatic narratives. This book will particularly appeal to readers interested in stories of love and perseverance against societal constraints and those who enjoy exploring themes of power and oppression.
