[Following is a volunteer review of "E M P Honeymoon" by Dorothy May Mercer.]
Kelly, who was the younger sister of Michael McBride, a Senator from New Mexico, and Tom Turbulo, a cop in the CCPD, were on their honeymoon trip on a Honduran island. While exploring the city of that island, Kelly enters a pigsty store for shopping, where she discovers terrorist group activity that aims to attack North America and Canada using an electromagnetic pulse (EMP).
Kelly and Tom, along with the help of two women who were sent to safeguard the honeymoon couple by Cynthia Patterson, Mike’s secretary, and a private investigator, headed to stop the attack. Steve Spalding, a CIA special agent, also joins this operation unexpectedly and helps the crew destroy the terrorist plan. Will this operation by Team USA succeed? Will the people of North America and Canada escape from the attack of the EMP? Who hides behind the plan of attack? To find answers to the above questions and more, grab a copy of the novel “EMP Honeymoon,” penned by Dorothy May Mercer.
Among many novels that I have read so far, EMP Honeymoon is one of the best action-packed patriotic thriller novels. The captivating plot that embraced the concepts of honeymoon and terrorism transformed this book into an interesting page-turning novel. The notion of an unrevealed secret and a hidden real hero behind the story is astonishing. The author's way of creating an identical footmark for each character in the novel is incredible.
The detailing in the description of sites, situations, and emotions of the characters in the story by the author is breathtaking. The vivid writing style acted as a medium that took the readers on the most action-packed journey. The unique handling of the presentation of love and romance between each couple who comes across the story makes the reader enjoy the fresh, cool breeze in between the heat of terrorism.
Finally, I didn’t find any negativity in this book. It is also important to appreciate the editing of the book; I didn’t find any grammatical mistakes or typos, which shows that the book was professionally edited.
On the whole, EMP Honeymoon is one of the best novels, for which I would rate it 5 out of 5 stars. I would recommend this book to readers who love to enjoy seat-edge patriotic thriller novels.
