[Following is a volunteer review of "The Solution is Political Revolution" by Jillion R Rising.]
The Solution is Political Revolution by Jillion R. Rising is an educational and informative non-fiction book that looks into several issues affecting American culture. The author examines social, political, economic, financial, and legal concerns with reference to the country’s decline and bleak prognosis. This entails such topics as the 2008 mortgage crisis, the abolition of the gold standard, fiat money, national debt, and the consequences of globalization. However, Rising ends on a positive note, urging Generation Y to become more progressive in their thinking and start a political revolution for a better world. Due to research and the author’s observations, the book calls for change and new leadership at the system level.
Although the author is dealing with complex issues, the style of writing is engaging and rather easy to follow. The author is able to reduce the content of the work to its basics while still not oversimplifying it. This balance makes the book interesting to a wide variety of people, including those with an understanding of economics and politics and those who have no clue what is going on in the world. The book has a highly inspiring conclusion, which is one of its major strengths. Besides, it illuminates the challenges and gives hope for improvements at the same time. The call to action for Generation Y is inspiring and encouraging at the same time. The book makes the youths embrace progressive ideas and become leaders in the fight for political revolution as they are given hope and direction.
Another thing that I like about this book is that it provides a detailed analysis of numerous topics. Rising does not avoid such themes as the mortgage crisis of 2008, the removal of the gold standard, fiat money, and the national debt. The author also gives historical background and elaborated descriptions of these issues and how they are related to the contemporary world. For this reason, the book is a must-have for anyone interested in understanding the fundamental causes of America’s present problems.
What I dislike about this book is that it is less accessible to numerous readers since it mainly dwells on American issues. The elaboration of such questions as the 2008 mortgage crisis, the national debt, and the transition to fiat money may be less interesting to global audiences. Moreover, the book’s focus on the American political and economic issue might pose challenges for the reader from other parts of the world to understand or find resonance in the proposed political revolution and the call to action. However, this does not in any way reduce my ratings for the book, as it has a central theme of hope and empowerment for those who want to understand their country’s challenges and find ways to address them. I give this book a 5 out of 5 star rating. The book was exceptionally well edited, and there were no grammatical errors found.
This book is recommended for politically engaged Americans, especially Generation Y, who are concerned about economic and social issues and are seeking progressive solutions to address systemic challenges in the U.S.
