Review of Man Mission
“Man Mission,” written by Eytan Uliel, shows four buddies who go on adventures every year, and the described ones include daring hikes and kayaking. These friends, who are keen to maintain the adventurous college years, transform their actions as years go by. Between the thrills of childhood, the characters develop, and the focus also shifts to how they solve life’s problems. The tradition, started when the author picked up culinary as a hobby during law school, evolves further as they hike tracks such as Harper’s Pass in New Zealand. They escape the daily dullness, sustain injuries, get new friends, and sort out marital and career problems. The novel is a beautiful work of friendship, maturity, and courage, which combines the best values of life and stunning conflicts and battles.
Most of the time, readers tend to go for books that they find interesting and fun to read, and honestly, I found this book to be one of those kinds. It was enjoyable, and the narration was good, as was the flow of the story. The kind of details they used to describe the places they went to and what they felt when they were there made the scenes more real. There were very interesting characters, which could easily be associated with in real life. This plot was exciting, amusing, and sad, as well as filled with regrets of the main heroes. Of course, the adventurous parts were thrilling, but, at the same time, the author did not ignore the characters’ internal development.
It is difficult for me to pinpoint and discuss something I did not like in this book since I did not find any. It also has a strong element of solidarity among the four leading men, and they are genuine friends with concerns for one another. Furthermore, I liked that every chapter had the checkpoint section, which contained the characters’ statistics, such as distance covered, time needed, and losses.
All in all, I give this book my highest recommendation; therefore, I have assigned it 5 out of 5 stars. I would recommend it to young men that are just beginning their careers or are starting families. This book will be informative for them to read and understand from the characters experiences in the book.
