One of the most evocative contributions toward narrating the process of the search for the self and the process of one’s transformation is Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer. This inspiring book describes various aspects of individuals’s lives that they encounter on their quest to find the essential self and their role in society.

Fleischauer uses reconfiguration, which refers to the reorientation of the life by individuals in order to transform one’s life to fit the true self. Finally, this Schauble work is a guidebook for readers to take their own reconfigurations where people receive hands-on guidance as well as critical analysis to apply as they transform.

What is striking about the book is Fleischauer’s capacity to equalize the specific and the general. In this aspect, with the use of real-life examples, Fleischauer describes the successful reconfiguration process and shares the possible difficulties of the process, which helps to make the content more interesting and comprehensible. They have captured the readers’ attention, pointing them out to the need to make specific changes in their lives if they have to lead a happier life.

The book is divided into easy-to-understand chapters dealing with issues affecting an individual in the process of change. Fleischauer analyzes the role of career concerns, communication, and one’s well-being and offers recommendations and solutions on how to address them.

The presented method by Fleischauer remains universal and aims at harmony in multiple spheres of life that define a person’s wellness. In this capacity, he cautions the readers about rushing into personal development without taking the time to routinely reflect about their core values. Such a broad view guarantees that readers address all the aspects of their lives as they strive to achieve their objectives.

I found nothing to dislike about this book. The editing was brilliant, as I found no grammatical error. The book remained true to itself all through. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I recommend this book to financial advisers.
