Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag" Kalliope Barlis' book is a comprehensive guide to improving your golf game using psychological and practical tactics. The book is organized into three sections, with the author emphasizing the value of positive thinking and visualization in obtaining success. Barlis, an NLP practitioner, shares her personal experience with performance approaches with the readers. Intended for players of all skill levels, it combines the technical and tactical aspects of the game with self-improvement, transforming golf into a mental game. The guide's format is well thought out and aims to improve readers' perceptions of golf beyond the physical component. I recommend this book to anyone who is a golfer looking to improve their game and is interested in the psychological aspects of golf.

The component of this book that I appreciate best, and one of its most notable features, is that it focuses on the psychological aspects of golf. According to Barlis, the key to enhancing performance is not only physical talent but also mental resilience and positivity. She provides effective ways for keeping positive attitudes, visualizing success, and letting go of failure. This is highly useful since it helps golfers build a mentality that can deal with pressure, hence enhancing their performance. Stress can be reduced and attention improved by using these mental abilities, both of which are essential for any sporting activity.

Barlis' knowledge of NLP adds a new and compelling dimension to the book. NLP techniques are used to reframe negative beliefs and establish positive mental habits, which can greatly improve golf play. Barlis describes her experience using NLP to help her become a professional golfer and thereby validates her approaches. The use of NLP gives readers skills for preparing for games, dealing with hurdles, and concentrating. This section of the book sets it apart from other golf books since it provides the reader with unique techniques to improve their mental component of the game and, as a result, their overall performance.

The downside of this book is that it is likely to be less accessible to readers who are uninterested in golf or non-golfers due to its specialized focus on golf-specific techniques, terminology, and scenarios, which can feel unrelatable and tedious. The heavy emphasis on golf tactics may be dull to people looking for general self-improvement or performance tips, but it has no bearing on my rating. The NLP employed in the book is beneficial to everyone. NLP techniques for mental power, good attitude, and visualization are not confined to the golf course and can benefit people in their daily lives, making elements of the book useful to non-golfers. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars since it was really well edited and contained no grammatical errors.
