[Following is a volunteer review of "Reconfigurement" by E. Alan Fleischauer.]
Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischauer is a book mainly about retirement planning for Americans. The book may feel like it's full of financial jargon and that it's for really old people who are retiring but don't judge a book by its cover and title. It's literally about reconfiguring life. It also includes self-evaluation through different methods and tests, as the author has stated in the book. The author proves that he is an incredible financial advisor with his strategies and investment ideas. It is filled with a plethora of advice for a well-planned retirement life.
With the author's expertise in finance, the book covers topics like health insurance, employment benefits, social security, career, self-care and management, retirement planning, etc. The author also explores various social myths and explains their realities. The book also has statistical data supporting the author's strategies. The book gives an 'inside the book' kind of experience.
I loved the way the author explained complex topics with easily understandable language and simple vocabulary. This made the book comprehensive in all aspects. The addition of various personality tests and websites that help us to know ourselves better is appreciable work. The humour inserted throughout the book makes the book more bore proof and page-turner. I believe without the humour, the book would be too boring and excessively informative. The mix of facts, logic, and humour makes this book an incredible read.
I rate this book 5 out of 5. This book was professionally edited with no errors. Even though it's written especially for Americans who are to be retired, this book is for everyone who wants a good retirement life. This book can be read by anyone interested in a well-planned retirement life; there isn't an age category. This book is a keepsake for a better life. I am not American myself and not anywhere near my retirement, but this book made me think ahead of my life, and I would use this book as a reference in the future.
