Have you ever wondered if there was a Divine Plan? Are the events of the world random or is there a plan behind it? Can we change how it happens? Can humanity change how it happens?
Roadmap to The End of Days by Daniel Friedmann answers these questions and more. It tells us using biblical guidance how humanity has come to "The End of Days". We are shown how there are patterns throughout history that line up with a Divine plan. We are shown what events will happen in the "End of Days", how it lines up with prophecy, and what leads up to the "Messianic age".
This book looks at the "End of Days" from a Jewish perspective. This book shows us who the "major players" will be. I like that it shows us how at certain times we have had the ability to "hasten" the coming of this "Messianic Age". We are also shown how the days of the week, as well as the millennia, mirror the seven days of creation.
My favorite part of this book dealt with the idea that, "Every individual can bring the Messianic Era closer by improving his actions, his character, and by inspiring others to do the same". We are shown how each of us can work to bring about peace in our world, and possibly skip the catastrophic prophecies we have been told about.
This book also contains appendices that cover the "historical timeline" and "The Specific Pattern of History Elaboration". We are also given a glossary of words as well as extensive end notes for further study. There are extensive figures and tables as well.
I though this book was well written and researched well. I did not find any grammatical or spelling errors in this book. You can tell it was edited well.
Overall, I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because I like that it gives us hope and shows that we can bring about a better world. I think, even though it is written from a Jewish perspective, that it would appeal to Christian and Muslim readers, to some extent, as well. If you like to read about different religious beliefs this would be a good book for you. If you want to know about "The End of Days" or if you want another perspective you should read this book. I think everyone could learn something about bringing about a better world, regardless of religious affiliation or lack of one, by reading this book.
