[Following is a volunteer review of "Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book" by Kalliope Barlis.]
In "Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book," Kalliope Barlis discusses a unique approach to improving one's golf game using both mental and physical strategies. The book applies "Neuro-Linguistic Programming" (NLP) techniques to teach aspiring golf players how to enhance mental conditioning, visualization, and positive reinforcement. It also lists practical golf exercises and routines designed to improve physical performance and explains how you can reprogram your brain for better performance. The book explains that by setting clear, achievable goals and using visualization techniques, one can immensely improve and eventually achieve those goals. There are several exercises and techniques in the book, such as how to visualize successful shots and outcomes before taking them to help align your mind and body toward a successful performance. There are many other tips you can get from the book, such as those already listed, and others like how to use sensory anchors in your game, how to focus on the target, and more.
I am a sports enthusiast myself, and I can't begin to appreciate how much information the book has. It is clear that the author put so much effort into providing the best content in the book. You can explore a wide range of topics, from mental conditioning techniques to specific golf strategies. I liked this comprehensiveness and how well the author explains key concepts and techniques. She makes it very easy to understand and implement what is being discussed. There are many illustrations and diagrams that helped reinforce the explanations given, making key concepts and techniques easy to understand.
I think this book is a good resource to have if you're into playing golf. I don't think there is anything to dislike about it, and I give it a rating of 5 out of 5 stars for that reason. Furthermore, the book was exceptionally well edited.
