“How Christopher T. Twinkles Came to Be” by Davinna K. Wilberg and Mosetta Penick Phillips-Cermak, PhD, is about more than just Mr. Christopher, a teddy bear. It combines many interesting themes, such as romance, space fights, judicial cases, and more. Before I began reading, I wasn't sure how interesting it would be. I knew it was about a teddy bear who suddenly came to life, but I couldn't predict how the overall story would unfold. After reading, I can say that the book exceeded my expectations. It satisfied my thirst for a sci-fi story and included everything I wanted in a sci-fi book and more. There are highlights and drawbacks to the book. I'll start with the drawbacks first. The main drawback I found in the book was the beginning of the story. It was confusing, and initially, I couldn't determine what was going on. New characters seemed to pop up out of nowhere, and I struggled to know which ones were important and necessary to follow and which ones were temporary. The initial characters, Buggles and Evans, who were first introduced, didn't last long and seemed to be temporary characters. I would urge anyone who wants to read the book to start with the glossary before diving into the story.

But there are many highlights that make the drawback pale in comparison. The main highlight of the story I loved was its diversity. Although the main plot centers on Christopher T. Twinkles and the challenges he faces, there are numerous subplots that make the book enjoyable to read. One of these includes the relationship between GegTeel and Missy Crissy, which I found particularly engaging. There were other subplots that kept me turning the pages. The book was well-written and well-edited. Another highlight was the use of humor in the story. You cannot complete the book without cracking a few laughs; there is humor everywhere, from the beginning to the end. I especially enjoyed phrases like “marry a tricat” and “kiss a tricat,” which were just amusing. There are other highlights, such as how the story gets more interesting as it progresses and the relationships between characters, but I am deciding not to go too deep into those aspects because I do not want my review to be too long.

I am giving it a rating of five out of five because, despite the aforementioned drawback, the story was very interesting and enjoyable. The drawback did not detract much from my enjoyment. The authors did spectacular work.
