[Following is a volunteer review of "The Date Farm" by Jack Winnick.]
The Date Farm by Jack Winnick is the fourth book in the exciting Lara and Uri series. This political thriller is full of action and espionage. The story follows Lara Edmond and Uri Levin, a newly married couple. Lara is a skilled FBI agent who works with her husband for the secret Israeli Mossad. Uri is an experienced agent who specializes in undercover work. During their vacation at Lara’s family farm, they are called back to action when Islamic terrorists attack New York City.
The mall attack was just the start of a bigger plan. Terrorists also took over an important area in New York City. At a date farm in Iran, there are plans that could affect how Israel and its American allies fight wars. Uri and Lara need to sneak into the date farm to find out what the terrorists are up to. Although their knowledge of the leader and his methods makes them ideal for the job, it also puts them at great risk. They must use all their skills and the latest technology to stop this new threat.
This book, like the other ones in the series I’ve read, was very engaging. I had a sense of how the story might end, but I couldn’t predict the details leading up to it. I had to read through the book to see how everything played out. The author's detailed descriptions kept me interested. Uri and Lara’s professionalism was impressive. Even though they are married, they didn’t let their personal feelings get in the way of their work, which helped them stay focused and perform well.
I give this book a solid 5 out of 5 because I didn’t find anything to dislike, and it was well edited.
I highly recommend this book to anyone in search of a thrilling and action-packed read. It offers a gripping, suspenseful experience with a well-crafted plot and characters that truly capture your attention. The story is not only engaging but also thoughtfully developed, making it an excellent choice for adults who have a passion for thriller novels. If you enjoy books that keep you on the edge of your seat and offer a compelling narrative, this book will be a perfect fit for you.
