At the end of my review, you will hopefully see why this book has so much praise, not just from myself but also from other readers. I was looking for something to read, and when I read other people's opinions about this book on Online Book Club, Goodreads, and Amazon, it seemed too good to be true—it isn't. It is even better than most I've read!

Lord Orlin, lord of Hillport, was overthrown by Meldorath for performing indecent acts on children, and Meldorath took control. However, Meldorath, being a powerful magician, began performing dreadful experiments on the townspeople, which led King Wilhelm to arrest him. Lord Eldus Alderman was sent by King Wilhelm to revitalize the town after the brutal reigns of the previous two lords. Everything proved difficult for Lord Eldus, and he faced many challenges as it was very difficult to heal the psychological scars left by Lord Orlin’s and Lord Meldorath's abuses. Even so, he tried his best to rebuild Hillport's infrastructure and improve its education and healthcare. All of a sudden, Meldorath begins to telepathically haunt him in the palace.

Meanwhile, some people start spotting feathers belonging to the Riva Rohavi, a terrorist group led by Vidius Crodai. They had been kept in check and thought to have disappeared altogether, but their recent emergence wreaks havoc on all Voulhirians. They always left widespread destruction and deaths in their attacks, which is why people dreaded them. King Wilhelm, too, fears betrayal from those surrounding him (like Chancellor Maido). Everything seems to be in chaos in Voulhire.

The story in "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz is rich and complex, bringing together several well-drawn characters: Galen, King Wilhelm, Chancellor Maido, Meldorath, and Rowan. The story blends political intrigue, magical conflict, and crisis to create a captivating story of the very ominous world of Voulhire. The story is really enjoyable to read and very unique. I liked the book's enjoyability, uniqueness, suspense, dark theme, and overall quality. I found nothing to dislike about it and rate it 5 out of 5 stars in line with my positive opinions about it. Its editing quality was exceptionally good, and I didn't find any errors.
