I would rate the book “The Date Farm” by Jack Winnick a five out of five. The story revolves around two married agents, Lara and Uri. Uri is an agent of Mossad, and Lara works for the FBI, though she is currently on loan to Mossad.

The novel begins with a devastating bombing at a mall in Beverly Hills, where many people are killed and injured, including the ten Middle Eastern bombers. Lara and Uri, who are on vacation in Ohio to spend time with Lara’s family, are abruptly awakened by a call with horrifying news. They immediately cancel their holiday and head to Los Angeles to help with the investigation.

Before they can make significant progress on the LA bombing case, they learn about a potential terror attack in New York. Upon arrival, they discover that the terrorists have blocked off a few streets and might be targeting the gold reserve. However, the terrorists have a completely different target in mind, one that could be even more harmful to the United States. Not only have they managed to physically harm and kill civilians and law enforcement officials, but they have also conducted an unprecedented cyberattack, gaining the ability to spy on all communications and satellites. Unfortunately, law enforcement officials do not realize this until later.

The story then shifts from the attack in New York to Lara and Uri, along with their colleagues, as they try to capture those responsible and bring them to justice. They go undercover on a farm, attempting to sniff out the stolen merchandise and the perpetrators of the attack.

This is the second novel I have read by this author, and I found it to be even better than the first! The author has written it in a fascinating and engaging manner. The narrative is delivered from the perspectives of both the lead characters and the terrorists, providing the reader with a more detailed and comprehensive background story. This made it easy for me to visualize the events as they unfolded. I did not find any grammatical errors, which is always a plus for me! Additionally, I did not see any negatives in this book and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The story is very well written and well-paced, with plenty of action and plot twists involving kidnappings, escapes, and a well-crafted ending. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fast-paced stories with plenty of action, suspense and thrill but without unnecessary gore.
