Jack Winnick’s "The Date Farm" is another exciting story following a series about Lara and Uri, a now married couple of spies. Lara, an FBI agent, is on leave but ready to help when needed. Uri, her husband, is adjusting to life outside the dangerous world of espionage. Their peaceful vacation with Lara’s family is suddenly interrupted when a terrible attack happens in a U.S. mall. Soon, another attack targets New York City’s financial district. The government thinks the bad guys want to steal gold, but something is not right. Lara and Uri are recalled into service to get to the true objective and stop the assailants.

I really enjoyed reading this book; indeed, it was fun. As for the book’s dynamics, the work is successful in surviving the didactic nature of the genre and remaining engaging for the reader. All in all, Winnick has achieved a fantastic performance in establishing some characters as real and funny. When the Iranian terrorists led by Abidin attacked in New York, it felt really intense. I couldn’t put the book down! Lara is a strong and interesting character. It’s cool to see her and Uri working together as a team.

There’s nothing bad to say about this book. Even though it’s part of a series, you don’t need to read the other ones to enjoy it. It rapidly provides enough information as to what is happening for you to figure it out on your own. Also, the information about the characters’ backgrounds will make first-time readers reach for other books in its series.

Its editing was superb and without errors, leading me to award it a five out of five stars. So, if you enjoy the action and adventure style of movies, "The Date Farm" will be right up your alley. It is a very active read; a lot of action and many plot changes are included. I highly recommend it!
