I have always thought golf was a very complicated and difficult game to play until I read *Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book* by Kalliope Barlis. Well, to an extent, it is and isn’t as simple as swinging a club like we usually see on TV, but it isn’t that difficult either. With such a valuable resource that shows you how powerful your mind can be when it comes to improving your golf game, golf can be a walk in the park. Barlis introduces the concept of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and explains how it can be used to train your mind to focus during the game and ultimately enhance your performance on the course.

I don’t think there’s anything to dislike about this book, honestly. I like how clear and concise Barlis’s writing is; she does a great job of explaining concepts that may appear very complex if not explained in the simple way she does. She explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand. The book is conveniently divided into three main sections, each one filled with advice, techniques, step-by-step instructions, and exercises to help you apply the principles of NLP to your golf game. For example, Barlis talks about how visualizing your shots can greatly improve their outcomes. Imagine feeling the swing and the sound of the ball hitting the sweet spot before you even take the swing—you can already see how it can mentally influence your shots. I’m afraid I can explain only so much, but this book has a lot that you will find really helpful.

I’m giving this book 5 out of 5 stars because it’s practical, motivational, and filled with valuable advice that can help you improve not just your golf game but your overall mental focus as well. If you’re serious about getting better at golf, this book is definitely worth a read. It had no negative aspects and was exceptionally well edited.
