The author, Kalliope Barlis, offers a wealth of golfing advice in her book Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book. Her division of the content into three distinct sections is particularly effective. In the opening section, she emphasizes the importance of playing with the proper mindset and mental balance. She advises having a clear mental image of what you want your game to look like, as this is the simplest way to set objectives. The second section of the book focuses on the importance of practice—practice, practice, practice—to prepare for your game. Barlis identifies various types of shots, such as chunking, putting, and topping, and explains which golf clubs are needed for each. In the final section, she highlights how practice can lead to a more precise and fluid game.

I love this book because it distills complex ideas into their simplest form. Unlike dense golf manuals, Barlis's advice is clear and concise. Her guidance is easy to understand and can be directly applied to the course, thanks to the book's concise chapters. Although I didn't know much about golf before, Barlis's straightforward instructions made the game feel more approachable. Her methodical approach is presented in a reader-friendly manner, with subheadings and lists for easy organization. The golf ball pattern on every page adds a fun element to learning. Honestly, I love the layout of this book; it made reading it even more enjoyable.

There’s nothing to dislike about this book. It’s a perfect guide for golfers seeking a practical and inspirational resource to improve their game, especially those who might find traditional manuals intimidating. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for all the reasons mentioned above. It has been professionally edited with no noticeable errors. I highly recommend this book if you want to become a great golfer—you'll learn everything you need to know about the game.
