During my childhood years, watching golf tournaments with my dad, who was a big fan of golf, I used to think in my head that it was one of the easiest sports. Not until I started my golf training course that I realised and appreciated the sport more and understood how difficult golf is. This book opened my eyes to the little things I never knew would impact and improve my game. I would genuinely advise every beginner in golf to read the book Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book by Kalliope Barlis. The author advises golfers to play golf with ease rather than putting much pressure on themselves. The author urges golfers to learn something from every single shot they take, be it a good or a bad shot. The author advises golfers to set out targets they would want to achieve during practices, as it helps concentrate the mind and the brain to ensure that these targets are achieved.

I thought this book would be a boring read when I decided to read it, not because I don't like golf, but because that's how some of these sports handbooks tend to be. I must say this one exceeded all my expectations. Furthermore, I loved the author's conversational writing style, as it felt as if it were my instructor talking to me. I liked how the author carefully laid down pre-shot routines that golfers can follow to ensure that their performance improves. I have continually changed my pre-shot routines, but reading this book, I got to understand the importance for golfers to always maintain their pre-shot routines regardless of the circumstance and not constantly change them.

In terms of rating, I would give this book a solid rating of five out of five stars for the many reasons I have stated prior. I had nothing to dislike about this book, so there was no reason to deprive it of a perfect rating. I want to also add that I had a wonderful reading experience as this book was edited exceptionally well and I found no grammatical errors. Not only that, but I give the author massive credit for this, as it's a good display of the author's unquestionable professionalism. I recommend this book to beginner golfers who want to make rapid improvements to their golf skills.
