The book "We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival under the Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz tells the story of Galen, who lives in a place called the Land of Princes. When starvation, war, and poverty overwhelmed his homeland, he seized the first opportunity to flee to Magnum Caelum, a region in Voulhire. Despite the king of Voulhire's ban on immigration from Galen's former home, Galen enters the kingdom with the determination to take over his late uncle’s house and businesses and to continue his uncle's legacy. Upon arriving in Voulhire, Galen discovers the hidden evil that lurks behind a country which everyone thought to be perfect.

Matthew Tysz wrote a captivating and intriguing novel that I thoroughly enjoyed. One of the main themes in the book is "evil," illustrating how evil can be present everywhere, both seen and unseen. The novel also imparts many lessons, including the significant damage caused by envy. The writer’s storytelling skills made me feel as though I was part of the numerous adventures that followed Galen's departure to Voulhire.

One thing I loved about this book was how the writer included a map to help readers understand the layout of the kingdom of Voulhire. The author also focused on different characters in each chapter. When Galen arrived in Voulhire, he met Rowan and together they discovered a treasure. Follow their journey to find out their fate as you navigate through the book. I also enjoyed reading about the friendship between Galen and Rowan.

I found nothing to dislike about this book. The narrative was clear and easy to follow, with accessible language and no complicated words. I also didn’t notice any grammatical errors, indicating thorough editing. For these reasons, I would rate this book five out of five stars.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fiction that immerses readers in a world of imagination and fantasy. From my reading, I gathered that this book is part of a series, so I am looking forward to more fantasy books from the author.
