There are two versions of this book. I have read both books to identify the differences. The other version of this book is "Play Golf Better Faster The Classic Guide to Optimizing Your Performance and Building Your Best Fast". That version provides more detailed information to dial in your technique and rise to your golfing potential fast.

This version of the book, “Play Golf Better Faster Handbook The Little Golf Bag Book for Big Results Fast” Is optimized to rise to your golfing potential fast but in your pocket this time. The reference material is broken down into small pieces, as opposed to the depth of the companion book. Both books focus on neuro-linguistic programming, which the author describes as “the ultimate tool for golfing your best”. This is designed to reinforce your golf game, build a better technique, and improve your attitude.

The author prefaces the book by stating that “this handbook isn’t just about mechanics, it’s about the secrets of being a great golfer. The author further encourages the reader to “read this book once every day for twenty-one days.” Instructing your brain to create the neural pathways needed to absorb the information. This creates new habits both on and off the golf course. The author explains their information in an approachable way to golfers of all experience levels.

I appreciate the way that the book breaks down the strategy into three clear sections:

Section 1: Using your brain. The author breaks down the thought that everything in the universe is contained inside your being, and how to use this to your advantage to make every shot awesome. You learn how to memorize your success in your mental playbook.

Section 2: Practicing Golf. The author goes over how to learn the skills you need to become your version of the ideal golfer. They provide exercises for a variety of golf courses and encourage practicing with the intent of building quality habits.

Section 3: Playing golf. The author teaches you how to use your physical and mental skills to maintain the golf game you have been practicing for, and ultimately achieve the score you have strategized for.

I enjoyed the condensed aspect of this pocket guide. The book could be improved with more visual aids, but it did not lower my opinion of the content. While the author’s other book provides a wealth of knowledge, this book dials in the most important tidbits worth memorizing to excel at your game. This book is very comprehensive and easy to understand, I would put a physical copy in my golf bag and reference it to improve my success. The book was professionally edited. I would rate it 5 of 5 stars because it is direct and does not leave unanswered questions. I highly recommend this book to anyone learning to play golf!
