[Following is a volunteer review of "Guilty of Stealing His Heart" by Nancy Lynn White.]
"Guilty of Stealing His Heart" is a wonderfully historical romance of nineteenth-century America. The novel is much more than just a love story. It's a profound examination of tenacity, atonement, and the healing power of family. The author, Nancy Lynn White, tells a sweet and heartbreaking story through the eyes of Carrie Wagner.
Carrie Wagner is the main character of the novel. Carrie is betrayed by her parents and her criminal husband, so she decides to leave her life in Ohio and start a new life in California.
She aspires to provide a loving home for orphans, but her determination is tested when two unexpected individuals, Billy and JT Grant, enter her life. Carrie's path is emotionally complex, and Billy's rough appearance and colorful language highlight her mother's instincts. JT Grant's mission to avenge his best friend's death heightens the mystery and danger.
The novel is about second chances and the enduring human spirit. The author delves into topics of betrayal, forgiveness, and the transformational power of love.
