[Following is a volunteer review of "Snatched Up to Heaven!" by Jemima Paul and Arvind Paul.]
Jemima Paul, Ph.D., and her husband, Arvind Paul, share with us in this book, Snatched Up to Heaven!: Astounding Testimonies of Heaven and Hell From the Mouth of Babes, real-life stories of visions of heaven and hell from their daughters, Priyanka and Deepika. Jemima Paul and her husband are originally from South India but now live in the United States. They have three daughters, Priyanka, Deepika, and Keerthana.
Jemima has a doctorate in Christian education and loves God and the things of God so much. These parents have also taught their children to love God and the things of God. Unsurprisingly, these children would have such incredible encounters as they did. The children talked about God and the angels carrying them up to heaven in the visions, showing them what heaven is like, the beautiful plants and animals and different people of color, how God cares for them in heaven, and how the pains they felt on earth weren’t present in heaven anymore and giving them beautiful things.
They also spoke of their visit to hell in the vision; Priyanka would always feel terrible stomach aches whenever she talked of their encounter in hell. They saw nasty things like ghosts, ants, wild animals, and witches. People in hell were constantly in pain and were being pushed into boiling water.
This book is so easy to read and understand, which made me like so many things about it. I like the author's interpretations of the children’s visions; instead of trying to dilute them, she wrote them as they told them, offered her interpretation, and even backed them up with bible verses. I liked that the parents listened to their children and didn’t just shove the children aside and ignore their claims of having a vision because the authors confirmed that from their visions, a lot seemed to tally with what’s written in the scripture and was evident in their interpretations.
I recommend this book to every Christian home, both children and adults. It is suitable for everyone, and every member of a Christian family would relate to one or two things from the book. I’m rating this book 5 out of 5 stars because I dislike nothing about it, and it was well-written and professionally edited.
