Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies

[Following is a volunteer review of "We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies" by Matthew Tysz.]
Matthew Tysz's fantasy science fiction "We Are Voulhire: A New Arrival Under Great Skies" tells a story of magical kingdoms, wars, integrity, and courage. The emperor of lullabies had given his four sons separate islands in a bid to prevent the treason he assumed they had against him. Eventually, The Land of the Princes got locked up in an unending war. Galen Bray, an agile young man, lived in the Land of the Princes, where he had known perpetual wars, poverty, and starvation. Eventually, he flees to Mangnum Caelum in the Kingdom of Voulhire, where his great uncle had lived, despite strict immigration policies enforced by the king of Voulhire against refugees from the Land of the Princes. This book takes us on a journey with Galen as he discovers the magical kingdom of Voulhire and the experiences he will encounter.
I loved the well-developed characters in this book. Rowan, Galen's great uncle's executor, went the extra mile to show him the great inheritance left for him by his great uncle, who was a successful blacksmith. He shows him everything necessary to continue his uncle’s forge in Voulhire. The mysterious character of Lord Meldorath, who was once King Wilheim’s favorite general and a powerful mage, was so dark and exciting. We were kept guessing if he was still alive or dead. Also, the mystery surrounding the events that happened in the castle, where Lords Orlin and Meldorath once lived, added a layer of suspense to the book. The new Lord Eldus Alderman was very optimistic and enthusiastic about the people. Was this genuine, or was it all an act to prove to the people that he was not as sinister as the two lords that came before him? Get a copy of this book to see how the author was able to connect these seemingly distinct characters and events.
I thoroughly enjoyed the author’s writing style, as he employed several figures of speech with unique choices of words. The author’s ability to paint vivid images of the scenes in my imagination as I read was indeed remarkable. At some point I got so curious to know how these different parts and characters coincided. I loved how there was an introduction of the characters at the beginning of the book. It made reading the book easier and more enjoyable.
I found nothing unfavorable in this book. It was entirely error-free and grammatically succinct. This shows that the book was edited expertly. I will thus give this book a solid rating of five out of five stars.
I recommend this book to readers of various backgrounds who love thrillers and science fiction. It is a book that will keep you turning the pages till the very end. However, there were a number of profane words I found, so I will not recommend it to little children.
