I have always been interested in stock trading. I have had many questions and ideas about how the stock market works. Picking up this book, The Small Stock Trader by Mika, answered many of my underlying questions.

The author starts by discussing the fundamental character traits a stock trader needs to have in order to succeed in the stock trading business. He listed several traits, but two stood out to me: discipline and knowledge of your competitors. While this book might be about stock trading, I learned that being a stock trader requires discipline, and when it comes to a market setting, the best weapon a person can have is proper knowledge of their competitors and how to go beyond them.
After dealing with that, he discussed the fundamental analysis of the market. This part was divided into two parts: one that involves understanding the psychology of the market participants and the other that involves having the basic requirements to stay in the market, which includes cash, debt, etc.

I enjoyed reading this book because it is about a topic I have always been interested in. First, I liked that the author's explanations were simple and deep. I learned a lot while reading between the lines without getting bored with the details. I also like that the author wrote this book so that even a first-time stock tracker will have a clear picture of the stock market. One major part that stood out to me was that the author talked about the psychology of a stock trader and how most traders get so lost in the stock trading market that they forget about their personal lives. He reminds readers and traders that there is life outside the business, and it is important to balance both their work and their personal lives.

This book has no downsides, and it is truly educational. I encountered no errors or grammar issues while reading. It was well edited. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for being very educational and simple to read. I recommend it to stock traders and people willing to learn the stock trading market.
