Review of Butterfly Awakens

[Following is a volunteer review of "Butterfly Awakens" by Meg Nocero.]
Meg Nocero's memoir “Butterfly Awakens” is devoted to her late mother, Mary Jo. In this memoir, Meg shares her experiences after her mother became ill with breast cancer, including her grief-related changes and her mother's death. Meg's tale is told to us in the same manner that a good friend could share her thoughts and challenges. As though we were enjoying coffee and pastries with Meg at a neighborhood cafe, we read of her strong bond with her mother, her love for her family, her quest for fulfilling employment, and her ambition to change the world. The book is organized into two parts: an affectionate, motivational tale and a self-help manual specifically. I had experienced a range of emotions from the author's experiences.
I thought the author's connection with her mother was beautiful and admirable. As they become older, kids typically distance themselves from their parents. Even after her daughter had transformed from the insecure individual she once was to a successful and attractive prosecutor, Mary Jo remained essentially an anchor for her. The author's steadfast will to overcome hardship distinguishes "Butterfly Awakens" from others. She offers insightful advice for readers looking for courage and hope in their problems as she discusses the coping strategies she used to get through the worst times throughout the book.
Meg's honest portrayal of the most trying time in her life was one of the things I found most appealing about her memoir. I adored Meg Nocero's engaging writing style in this book. Her use of quotations, poetry, and images throughout the text enhanced the reading experience. There was nothing I didn’t like in this book. It was professionally edited with zero errors. Therefore, I’ll rate it 5 out of 5 stars. I believe that people struggling with grieving and finding inner peace should read this book, as should those who wish to advance intellectually.
