Velocious Evolution by Ron Saetermoe is a thought-provoking story that presents the encounter of a human and an alien, a unique deal between them, and its potential effect on evolution in the human society and planet.

Dr. Keene, a professor in Anthropology department, is a father of a teen daughter, Leslie, who's struggling between life and death as she has multiple myeloma, a rare cancer. Having already lost his wife from cancer, Dr. Keene is constantly worried and wants to leave no stone unturned to see Leslie back on her feet. Keene gets anxious when he comes to know Leslie is nearing death too fast. His fatherly instinct to save his daughter gets air when he meets Dr. Tim.

On a strange encounter Keene meets Dr. Tim, who claims to be an alien. The story picks up its momentum from here. With a strange sounding deal, Tim approaches Keene to work out their mutual interests, wherein he proposes to offer a medical cure for cancer in exchange of earth's water. Tim succeeds in convincing Keene. However, the path thereafter seems to be daunting and full of hurdles for both of them. Will both succeed in their attempts to close the deal?

With its unique storyline and best narrative, Ron keeps us invested. The story sheds light on some major issues like climate changes and socio-cultural evolution due to technological advancements. This book is a beautiful alien- human sci-fi novel and is worth reading.

The book is professionally edited. There are no major typos or errors. I found only a couple of minor errors, which can be overloooked. I loved the extraordinary storyline and its captivating narrative style. There's no negative as such. I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend this book to all young readers inclined to sci-fi books.
