Ever wondered where that missing sock or Tupperware lid is? The "Mislays" are the figments behind these items going missing. The "Gatherers" hit close to home, reminding me of my habit of hoarding things I think I'll need but never do. The "Vexations" hilariously brought to mind those petty annoyances that felt monumental as a teenager. Each figment is described with sharp wit and warmth, making them instantly memorable.
