This book is a must-read for Christians everywhere! The author shares the visions that her two daughters had regarding heaven and hell, and it was astounding to read the details that they provided, being only two and four years old! I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and it was very well-edited. I only spotted one possible typo, and it was in the epilogue.
I love how structured this book was! In each chapter, the author did a great job of sharing her daughters’ visions first, then giving her own interpretation and backing it up with Bible verses. The book was split up into two main sections- heaven and hell. In the chapters involving heaven, one chapter depicted the girls seeing snakes. Like the author, I was also surprised that the kids saw snakes in heaven, but the Bible describes that. “Isaiah 11:8–9 state, ‘The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain.’”(pg. 26)
In chapter one of the section on hell, the girls shared that they could see heaven and hell at a distance from the other, which was really interesting to read! I would not have guessed that would be the case. Several of the statements that the kids made about what they saw in their visions were direct contrasts between heaven and hell. Some of those contrasts are: in heaven, the temperature was perfect, whereas it was very hot in hell; in heaven, they could hear the sound of music, whereas in hell, there were sounds of scary monsters and people screaming.
This book really impacted me in the best way possible, with the reminder that “we need to be willing to give up everything in order to follow Christ. It is pointless to invest our time and money in things that don’t really matter in eternity.” (pgs. 111-112) I rate this book a 5 out of 5, and I am extremely grateful that Jemima and Arvind Paul followed the Holy Spirit’s prompting to write this book! Read this book if you want to be encouraged in your Christian walk!
