Music to My Ears by Heidi M. Simone is a captivating work of fiction, which depicts the story of Sophia, the main character of the book. The story starts in a usual way where Sophia sings exceptionally well. As the story proceeds, we find there is so much more than just a gift of singing in Sophia's life. It turns out she is a Semi-Siren who has a connection to water and can control certain people with her singing. In order to know the consequences of her being a Semi-Siren, you need to pick up this book and dive into the story.
The author has written the plot in a very indulging manner. It was really hard for me to keep the book down until I finished reading it. The story has the perfect pace and it keeps the readers on track with the plot. While writing the book, Heidi has revealed the story in bits and pieces, which will maintain the interest of the reader.
The best part about the book was the main character of the story, Sophia. The qualities in her are hard to find and this world needs more people like Sophia. Her strong will and kindness is something to look up to. Another thing that I loved about the book is that, even though it was a short read, it will make the readers think about the lessons that the story has delivered.
There is nothing that I dislike about the book. It is flawlessly written and professionally edited as I did not find any errors. It doesn't contain any profanity or foul language.
Music to My Ears deserves 5 out of 5 stars[/i] because the author has done a great job with the story. I would recommend this book to all the readers who love fiction and also to those readers who want to get out of reading slump. The book is engaging, thoughtful and I would love to read more writings of Heidi M. Simone.
