Hello, My Love (Evy Journey)
This story is well written with relateable characters.
The story focuses on two friends (Greg and Elise) turned lovers who then lose touch with one another until they reunite some years later.
Hello, My Love is a story of love and passion with tension thrown in which tests the couple. The couple go through a great deal in this story while on their journey to find their forever.
The male lead - Greg- has quite a reputation which eventually comes back around to haunt him.
The main characters include Elise and Greg. Elise is in her early twenties and is a very mature and intelligent young lady who has ambitions of being a lawyer and doing good for people, even if she might disagree with their actions or motives. Greg, in the beginning, is a player but he is also intelligent and becomes very enamored with Elise. Elise's parents are very mature and will do whatever they can to help their daughter, even if she does something against their wishes.
The story is in third person narrative from Elise's and Greg's points of view. The story definitely has amazing maturity and a charm that's not to be missed, but I think the characters themselves needed a little more work, or at least I would have liked to be with the characters during their darker moments instead of the darker moments being brushed over.
Can Greg and Elise overcome these obstacles to achieve their happy ever after?
This is the first time I have read work by Evy Journey and I must say I am very impressed.
The story contains a lot of substance and all the characters are well thought out and well developed.
I personally would have liked some more in-depth scenes of passion between Greg and Elise to allow me to completely grasp their emotions a little more but apart from this the story made for a compelling read.
I would definitely recommend this book to any reader that enjoys a great romance and this story would especially attract fans of Jane Austin and Pride and Prejudice as this is a modern day version of this story.
I gave Hello, My Love a score of 4 out of 4 as I feel it is very well written with a strong baseline and has enough content to keep a reader entertained and interested until the end. This is a good book to escape in for a few hours. I am looking forward to reading more books by this author.
